Lion trash bug?

Just wanted to know if this was a bug in Lion?

When i empty the trash (sometimes not always) it says x amount of files remaining it gets down to 0 but then start going up in - numbers!

E.G Told me there was 700 files to delete it now says -1,231 and it going up too

Is this a bug? (See Image)

OSX lion 10.7 clean install too

Forgot to say i am deleting files from my EXT HDD connected via firewire 400

now at 100k

I have the same problem, I have a 1tb WD external hard drive hooked up with firewire 800 and when I delete extra time machine backups and empty the trash it does this exact same thing to me. Any ideas?

Does it ever finish emptying the trash or just continue counting at infinitum?
