I've spent a ridiculous number of hours trying to figure my way around this one. My former Macbook Pro printed fine to my Lexmark printer. My new Macbook Pro will not.

It's become very frustrating and just massively time-consuming... and I still can't print.

The present error message is 'Unable to read CUPS raster data'. I searched the forums here, and found one kind of related message, https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1203336/
though the user is Windows 7 as I understand it. I'm OSX 10.7.4.

I get that this seems to be a Lion issue. I still don't really get how I might solve it. Does anyone have any suggestions? I need pretty Luddite-instructions... even some of those forum discussions in that post whizzed a bit by me.

I appreciate any help anyone can offer.

Swearing like a truck driver,

Printer type

I have a Lexmark Platinum Pro 905.
I've also tried it with an HP 1350 all-in-one.
I either get the 'Unable to read CUPS raster data' error, or 'Printer is not connected' (although it is).
All ideas welcomed!
Thanks very much
Lisa
