Lion upgraded from SL tagged to user id?

Is the lion OS purchased from App Store tagged to the user ID?

Or can I just share my lion bootable DVD with friends in the event they did not make a copy of the OS to restore?
 
Based on various posts on these forums, I've concluded that many of Lion's features require an Apple ID to be set. Also, once you set an Apple ID, you cannot change it later... so that leads me to believe that yes, copies of Lion downloaded from the Mac App Store are linked to your Apple ID, in the same way that DRM-free iTunes Store music purchases are.
