Hi all,

I got Lion yesterday and its all fine except somehow it forgot how to connect to my PC. They are usually on the same network except sometimes when i want to transfer a large file over i plug in the ethernet cable.
But today they won't connect. I have to assume its something thats changed on my mac thats preventing me from connecting, but im only guessing.
My PC is running windows 7. It just says 'invalid IP' or something equally vague and unhelpful. Any one having similar trouble, or have any solutions?
Thanks in advance,

Tom

Fixed it.

Enable SMB in Prefs/Shaing/Advanced
Disable AFP
Connect via finder using the menu to smb://Win-pc-ip_address
When asked insert the credential

yep also fixed it after like 5 hours
On the mac go to sharing> file sharing> options > make sure AFP is off and SMB is on. in my case i actually had to untick smb, exit and then went back in and reticked it.
worked fine after that :S
