Hello.. Well this may be a stupid question but what ever...

Is it normal to see liquid behind the screen that moves around as you tilt the phone? I only noticed today in bright light while I was searching youtube. I could see it in the dark corner.

Thanks.

If it matters any-it was actually above the "viewing area" under bright sun.

I think it's white.-looks silver. Is it in the bottom of the headphone jack?

You sure it's not the sensors? can we see some pics?

It was in the sensor area but it was moving around like liquid. Actually to the left of the sensors. It looked like one of those colored "oil things" that people set around that move around like a wave. I can't see it now-I'm inside.

well, the iPhone has an accelerometer but I believe it's hidden and in the lower part o the phone, I could be wrong though.
As long as your phone works, I wouldn't worry, does it black out if you put your hand over the sensors in a conversation? It's probably the sensors and your mind playing tricks on you, helped by a game of lights, at least I hope so.

Yes it does black out...never really noticed. Well, hopefully you are right. Very odd though!

At this point I'm thinking I'm crazy as I haven't seen it since this afternoon. I will have to check it out in some bright natural lighting. Everything seems to be working fine so I'm not going to worry too much about it. I'll post if I see it again. If anyone else has had a similar experience or some input I will keep checking back.

Thanks! Ryan

Yes... water moving around underneath the glass is completely normal :rolleyes:

Actually yes- I asked an honest question, not knowing if there was liquid behind the screen and I was given a stupid comment. Not even an answer "sell iPhone." What good is a response like that? Comments like that are pointless. Guess you didn't have anything better to do.

Yeah that's the first I've heard of water behind the screen, definitely not normal :s. I've heard of that happening on a few other phones, condensation I believe from a gap in the layers.

You'll notice that if you have a look at anywhere else he posts.

If you've nothing to hide (never gotten it wet), I'd take it back to Apple. Make sure you can demonstrate what you're talking about though. I took mine in for Wi-Fi problems and got blown off every time because it decided to work as it should while the genius was playing with it.
