I connect my iPhone 15 Pro Max to my 2019 Honda CRV via USB A to USB C. I’ve been using CarPlay for about 3 months now with no issues. My phone sits on the center console tray and the cable (USB A) connects to the car under the tray. CarPlay works fine. Today however, I was driving along and I got a loud beeping sound and a popup warning on my phone. It said “Liquid Detected” and had instructions below that warning. I got off the road and checked the cable connection at both ends and the phone USB Port. NO LIQUID!!! Where the phone sits makes it impossible for any liquid to get in. I reconnected and drove a few more miles. Got the same warning again. When I got home I connected my phone to my iPad (iPad Pro 12.9 3rd Gen attached to Magic Keyboard) using USB C-C. I got the warning again. This time I took a screenshot. I use compressed air can to blow out the phone port. There seems to be no more problem but I don’t know if that is a genuine “Warning” or some kind of virus/malware?!?! In order to take the screenshot I had to tap on the “Emergency Override” on the screen. Over 10 years of iPhone use and never a problem. Does anyone know if this is a real warning or not?
