I just downloaded Aperture today. Very excited to use it. I loaded Canon Raw files into Aperture. But the pics that show up all seem to be JPEGs. Is that how it's supposed to work? I went inside Aperture by showing "Package Contents" and did see the Raw files in the MAster file folders.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Also, when I was playing at applestore today, whatever changes I make to a pic shows up as a new version. How come the changes I make are done as an override on that file?

Thanks for the help again!

What you're seeing are JPG previous of the RAW files.

When you make changes, the list of changes and parameters are stored as meta data, somewhere in your library. The original is never touched. The JPG preview is altered.
