Hello,

so far I had system integrity protection always turned of on my Macs when introduced in OS X 10.11 and now macOS 10.12, however I am now considering turning it back on. My main reason to turn it off was that I used TotalFinder to have in Finder folders on top while the rest sorted only by names so I have it the same way as on my Windows machines I at work, but now macOS 10.12 offers this as a new option in the Finders settings, so I don't need TotalFinder for that anymore. There are still little things that TotalFinder does like offering me Cut, Copy and Paste commands in the right click menu, but I think I could live without them.

Now I am just wondering, what other maybe useful tools exist out there, that like TotalFinder just can't work without SIP being turned off, is there maybe a list somewhere? A friend of mine for example uses a little tool called BootChamp that allows you to reboot directly to Windows if you use it under Bootcamp without having to hold the Option key. Nothing I need right now, but sounds useful for people who use Bootcamp on a regular basis and makes me wonder, what other tools out there might be unusable if you use SIP.

So there are:

- TotalFinder
- XtraFinder (free alternative to TotalFinder)
- BootChamp

Any more and who has turned off SIP and if so, for what reason?
