list of supported retina scaled resolutions?

I am using Property List Editor and hexadecimal calculator to modify display file under rMB /System/Library/Displays/Overrides/ direstory.

When I enter 3360x2100 (2x 1680x1050), the display works as 1680x1050. And it generates the same string as here

However I got nothing when I enter 2304x1440, 4608x2880, or 1680x1050. Also some of the resolution that came with rMB, 1440x900 for example, works without have to scale to 2x.

Is there a list of supported retina resolutions? Or some rules on what is accepted resolution?
