List of users not showing up at login

I'm guessing there's some sort of bug on my computer, because even when I checked off "Display Login Window as: List of users", I'm still prompted to enter my name and password when I login. The automatic log in option is off. I've deleted preference files and it's still happening. I've had to deal with this since last year when I bought my computer. I do have WinSwitch installed so perhaps it's conflicting with my system.

Can anyone help me out? I'm tired to having to type in my name everytime I put my computer on!

Did you remove /Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginwindow.plist (the root Library) or the one in your home directory? You should be removing the one at the root.
