Listen to line-in?

Is there any way of just listening to the line-in port on an iMac G5?

I've got heaphones hooked up, and an external source connected to the line-in, but I can't seem to find a way of listening to it? I can record from line-in and it plays back properly, but I just want to listen...

This is something I've thought from time to time..

You could solve the problem by downloading Sound Studio Pro. It's a shareware though.. I don't really know about this. You might be able to do the same with Audio Hi-Jack too. Both are meant for recording, not just listening. It's pretty stupid they haven't integrated the feature to OSX like they did with OS9

Maybe I should give feedback to apple..
