Listen to music through Bluetooth?

Hi why can't I use my Bluetooth earpiece to hear my music from my iPhone 5,
How does the Bluetooth know the difference between my Bose soundock and car fm transmitter Bluetooth from the Bluetooth earpiece?

Each Bluetooth device has an id like a fingerprint that tells your iPhone what it can and can't do. The limitation your frustrated with is dictated by your device not your iPhone.
