I have the app Mac Tracker and it lists the supported status by Apple.
This sample's green, the 1st gen AP express & extremes are yellowed or in the 2nd gen AP internal card, red as obsolete.

I have a lead on #A1143 on CL and just want to make sure it's able to be read and configured by Mav's Airport Ultility!!

If you're looking to buy an odler Aiport Extreme to save some money, might I suggest a refurbished 802.11n Airport Extreme from Apple? It's definitely still supported by Mavericks and will come with a full warranty.
