What is the difference between the apps that are Lite and free, like Angry Birds Lite and Angry Birds Free?

Thanks in advance, Cata :) PS: Sorry for my English!

Well I would assume if there was a Free, Lite, AND Regular version then Free would be very basic. Lite might cost $.99 and still be missing a few features. Then the regular version would obviously be the full. I didn't know angry birds had both though? I thought it was only Regular version and Free.

To me, usually Lite and Free should are synonymous. I mean if you're paying 99 cents, why can't you pay another 3 bucks for the full thing?
