I connected a small USB2 powered hub to the USB port on the front of my dual 2 gig G5. When I turn shut down the computer and hub is still powered there is a little red led lights up insde the G5 just behind the ON button. Anyone know what this is or what it means? With the hub diconnected the light doesn't come on.

Jokes aside, I've only ever seen that light come on when the transparent plastic airflow guide is removed.

I'd always assumed that was its only purpose, but if your plastic thingy is properly in place (you'd know--the fans run full bore when it's not and that's LOUD) and there's nothing wrong with the sensor that detects it, then it must be a more general "hardware error" light of some sort.

I'd be interested to know what it actually means, but I don't have the time to dig through developer docs to find out right now... perhaps someone else?
