little blue square with a ?

Whats the deal with the little blue square with a question mark in it. I keep getting it on some blogs. Clicking on it takes me to a picture.
It is not the blog itself because I usually get some pictures and some squares on the same blog

It's mostly because the address is wrong or the browser has hiccups, and the latter can be solved by resetting the browser.
