I found most cases, even slim ones, really ruin the look and feel of my iPhone. The one thing I missed without a case though is confidence in putting it down on a surface without worrying the back or lenses would be scratched.

So these two tiny clear pads are just enough to raise the camera off the surface, as well as fix the wobble.

Ideally I’d like to find a similar self-adhesive material that’s a very thin strip rather than two bumps.

Nice idea! Those additions also add a little bit of grip to an otherwise slippery phone.

Pop sockets serve the same purpose. It raises the lens up above any surface that can damage it, raises the body above most spills, and releases for use as a finger grip for scrolling or as a camera brace.

Actually on a naked Pro, the lenses don't hit the surface of a flat table, the edge of the square does. Also the back of the phone doesn't actually rub on the table, just the bottom edge.

I don’t think that’s quite the case- certainly the bottom edge of the lowest camera touches the surface, the square profile is lower.

Even then such is the angle the clearance is sub millimetre from the surface to the lenses. If the surface is even slightly uneven then you still get contact. With this method you don’t get any wobble either.

If you don’t mind a huge circle popping out from your phone. I’d rather a case.

They actually sell glass protectors for the phone camera, some of them don't actually cover the lens, just raise the area around it. Although they could alter the optic properties of the camera, usually mess up photos with flash enabled.

Love this. Awesome idea.

Actually, reminds me of the little nubbin thing on Oppo phones which is apparently for same purpose (lens glass protection).
Thanks OP, definitely be ordering these. I can see these being extremely useful little things I never knew existed or I needed 😁

I understand it still receives security updates. Besides, not receiving support has also a flip side - you're left with the best and most stable iOS version currently in existence.

Anyway, going back to our topic, that's one neat idea. I love it. 👍

...which means your iPhone 6 is no longer relevant...as in it doesn’t receive iOS support.
No, my iPhone 6 still works fine and is totally relevant in 2019. iOS 13 is a hot mess, so wouldn’t move be moving to it even if I could. The SE I use as a music player wil be on 12 for the rest of its useable life.
