Accidentally damaged these sponges in my retina macbook pro:

What do they do and how can I replace them?

I was thinking a couple of thermal pads (imagining they help transfer heat from the logic board to the heatsink)

I think they are used for grounding the heat-sink to the MLB, not sure if I remember correctly though.

Oh okay so its about electricity and not heat transfer?

Any ideas what to replace them with?

**** any advice man? Not even sure how to start looking for replacements for that.

What’s the damage here? If those are indeed for grounding, they’re still there aren’t they?

I have super glue but that is non conductive, so Im not sure how Id put the tiny foams them back in their place. I ripped 2 out of 4.

Is the glue you used, capable of handling the heat that it will incur?
