I don't know if this occurs on the Windows version.

1) Open up a new tab
2) type in a URL
3) Go to a different tab before pressing enter/return
4) return to your new tab - and your just-typed address is gone.

Not the worst thing in the world, but kind of annoying.

at least you got that far..

i cant even see my hard drive during installation, let alone not have the requirements...

another example of apple quality control going down:rolleyes: the pan

I'm running Vista, and absolutely no Text appears on the menus or even the webpages. Its very fast, but I can't see anything!!! (just graphics)

:(

I don't seem to be able to close windows. Red button doesn't work, nor does Command+W. Anyone else?

Got the same problem here on an XP SP2 machine.

Another annoying behaviour is that you cannot minimise the safari window by clicking on the windows tool bar.. the one next to the start button, where all the open apps show up. not sure what exactly its called. and once it is minimised using the button on the tope right, then when you try re-activating it, it then resizes the window and the windows refuses to stay maximised.. anyone else see this??

when i open a new window, the page acts like its going to load, the blue indicator fills up in the address bar quickly then it doesnt load the page.

this also happens periodically during browsing

anyone else have this?

i can tell that it loads the page but doesnt show it.
itll show RSS in the address bar, the scroll bar is smaller showing that theres a long page, but the page is blank, thats what i get sometimes while browsing and always while opening a new page.

I had the same problem until I moved the original safari back to the applications directory. tried it again and it installed

Could you tell me where you found the original safari? After installing safari 3, it now won't launch at all and neither will mail or my dashboard.

I have that web address bug, too. It's not big deal, as I always hit enter before leaving the tab for whatever reason. Apart from this and an iTunes-related disaster, I've had little problems with (my 3rd installation of) the beta.

Did you install SIMBL and Taboo for Safari 2? I had to get rid of that to close the closing problem for me.

Another minor bug: The majority of my favicons (the thumbnail icon next to a bookmark) are gone, replaced with blue balls.
