Little Snitch and transmission

This may seem like a daft question but wanted some clarification. Whenever I open transmission, little snitch is constantly asking whether to allow certain connections that I dont recognise. If i deny it, little snitch just keeps ocming up until I allow any connection. Being a p2p app, does this pose a security risk? I know transmission is widely used, but I thought I should check!
