I'm thinking of getting Little Snitch so that I can track/block outbound requests on my Mac Pro. This is especially useful for any password program I get (other than using keychain) to make sure it doesn't phone-home with any info.

Is Little Snitch the best out there? Is it safe and reliable?

Does anyone think Leopard will have the functionality built in?

I have Little Snitch and it works perfectly. Never had a problem.

It really is the only app that I ever used of its kind, but why use others when this works fine.

It is hard to say because not everything about Leopard has been revealed. There is a chance that it could but you never know. Just got to wait and see :/

I've used it. It works good.

I've heard that ipfw (the firewall OS X has built-in) can block outgoing requests but there's no GUI for it. I don't think they're adding this in Leopard, but ya never know.
