qwestmodem.domain.actdsltmp continually gets accessed. Looks like a multicast but am not sure why...

I am still trying to find out what's on my system, if anything, that has mDNSResponder continually accessing that address.

Is anybody else using Qwest DSL seeing the same problem?

Even disabling 224.0.0.0/3 port 5353 has had no effect. :(

Thx!

This COULD be Qwest's build-in help 'service'...

I'll keep an eye on it...

Update:

well, after 2 days the qwestmodem.domain.actdsltmp no longer shows up.

But mDNSResponder now shows 192.168.0.1 constantly being accessed.

Since it's not running like this on my MacBook Pro, it's definitely something on my Mac Pro.

Looks like the solution.

And based on user comments, I also looked up "Back to my Mac" - which works in tandem with MobileMe. A service I used on my MP but not my MBP. So once I figure out how to disable that, there we go...
