The image posted in that link is not Activity Monitor. It's Finder. In your Activity Monitor, click on the process under the column "Process Name", then click the red stop sign icon at the top that says "Quit Process".

ok im doing that i higlit the program and then press the red button quit process but its still there its not going away

First, have you tried using Little Snitch's own uninstall process?
Open the Little Snitch Installer application and click the Uninstall button. If you don’t have the Installer available on your computer anymore, you can re-download it from our Download Page.
Try that first. Then use the following to clean up anything left behind.
  • Make sure Little Snitch isn't in System Preferences > Accounts > yourusername > Login Items
(Lion users: System Preferences > Users & Groups > yourusername > Login Items)

  • Make sure Little Snitch isn't in /Library/LaunchAgents/ or ~/Library/LaunchAgents/
(Lion users: In Finder, click Go > Go to Folder > then enter the path)

  • Now restart your computer and check Activity Monitor again. It shouldn't be running.

  • If it's gone, continue with the uninstallation process.

I also i have lost my internet connection.

Was Little Snitch listed in any of those locations? If so, did you remove it? If so, have you restarted your computer?

Obviously, you haven't, or you wouldn't be posting here. Download the Little Snitch app using the computer you're on and reinstall it on the computer you're having problems with. Then uninstall it using Little Snitch's uninstaller.

I was not in either of these places.
& yes i have deleted it ( i dragged it into the recycling bin then emptied it)

I have restarted the computer, but i keep finding it in the Activity Monitor

Sorry my mistake, i have two machines.
1 Windows with internet connection
1 Macbook Pro without a connection

  1. Download Little Snitch using the Windows computer.
  2. Then transfer the downloaded file to your MBP.
  3. Then install Little Snitch on the MBP.
  4. Then uninstall it, using the uninstall button.

You don't have to connect to the net with your MBP. Please read my last post.

I'd save your typing for someone that's listening, seems the OP isn't :p

You're absolutely right though, Little Snitch needs to use it's own uninstall as it's actually installed a proxy bound to the network stack. Bit more convoluted than your normal app.
