Now I know this is a newbie question as most of the videos for the 3 Millionth Post competition include aspects of what I want to do, but...

How do you make a quicktime video of your screen  I don't even know what to call this function - "Live-action Screen Capture" is the best way I can describe it.

I'm trying to make a travel movie on iMovieHD and I want to include a "Zoom in" shot from Google Earth to show where I am in the world. How do I "record" this zoom and add it to my video?

Cheers guys,

From a quick look at these links it appears that they all have to be bought. As I only want to do this once I don't really want to fork out for a feature laden program - I just want the one, short, video.

Is there any Freeware?

ah, it turns out that at least on SnapsPro I get 15 days of unwatermarked video capture and after that I have to register the product to remove the subsequent watermark.

Cheers iMeowbot.
