Got a late 2008 macbook 13inch with the 2.4 dual core and 8gb of ram. I'm going to be looking at a samsung SSD to upgrade the speed a bunch. Now, with a new hard drive, i'm going to be looking at a new operating system.

This laptop is going to be dominantly used for live backtracks. All our project files are in logic pro 9. I'd like to stay in the logic family, and don't mind upgrading to 10, whichever works best. The question I have to ask is which operating system seems to be the most stable and well-behaved when handling tasks like these? i'm going to assume that my hardware will be to spec, but I'm just wondering which OS (mostly between ML, mavericks, and yosemite, but i'm open to older versions) will perform the best and lessen the chances of a lock-up mid song?
