I asked the following question in the eMac forum but someone sent me here for your expertise.

I want to be able to record live music at home and then make CDs on my eMac. Sony has a Walkman for a bit above $200 which will do this but it is not Mac compatible. Is there any such product in the same price range with Mac compatibility?

Many thanks.

In what way is the Sony not Mac compatible? You should be able to use the eMacs audio line-in jack to transfer the recordings. Maybe I'm missing something. Does the Sony record to tape. disk, or flash? What are its ports (i.e., is there an audio line-out)?

This is the answer I got from Sony:

"The Sonic Stage software supplied with the MZ-NHF800 Hi-MD Walkman is necessary to transfer audio data between the Walkman and the Computer. Sonic Stage Software software is not compatible with the Computer with Macintosh Operating System."

Thanks a lot for your help.
