Live Photos on Mac

I love the new live photos feature on my iPhone, but anyone disappointed that you cannot download them onto your mac? Had this problem with slow mo video, but eventually it was added in Photos. Just wondering if anyone knows it will be added into El Capitain...

IIRC, that was mentioned in the keynote when the iP6s was announced. Live photos should be viewable in El Capitan, probably with an update to the Photos app.

They do work in 10.11. They activate with a mouse-over in thumbnail view. When you're viewing full size there is a "Live" icon in the lower left that you can mouse-over to activate.
