Just in the past couple of weeks, I have had a recurring pop-up advising me that "LiveUpd has quit unexpectedly." (see attachment for screenshot of the popup) It is mainly an annoyance since, when one is doing any other task, one has to stop and click on it to continue with work. It is especially annoyiong during streamed Netflix.

Reaction from various computer-knowledgeable friends was immediately that it had to do with Norton anti-virus but I do not have (and never have had) that product on my computer. I cannot recall installing anything else recently to explain why this suddenly started happened. Smells like Malware of some sort to me, but I have no idea how to stop it from happening.

Suggestions appreciated.

Worth doing a quick malware scan: https://www.malwarebytes.com/mac-download/

Also check startup/login items. Anything weird there? Have a quick flick through the list of Applications as well.

Best wishes and speak with you soon.
