i must have downloaded the wrong thing. What I found in Cydia puts a winterboard theme on my phone, a theme that apparently does nothing.

Is there a special repo for it?

I installed it today as well, and as someone said above it's in the big boss repo. You can also find it under "changes" in cydia. It should be near the top. It makes your clock on you springboard, the one where you alarm and stopwatch are turn in to an actual clock with moving hands that reflect the actual time.
Working great for me (iPhone 4, 4.1)

I'm very happy this is out now.

Any idea how to increase size/change color of minute and second and hour hands?!?!?! :)

They are controled by a plist in the Springboard.app in CoreServices. Be careful, changing it improperly will cause your iPhone to boot into Safe Mode.

I figured out the plist thus far, but my lack of iOS talk means I don't dare to do much since you warn of safe mode!

Thus I'm awaiting for some liveclock expertise paiently!

Try editing the points part of the different hands, it seems to be the thing that'll get you what you need. Just make sure you have a backup so you can restore it if you break it.

Why would you need this when the digital clock is displayed at the top at all times? I mean I guess there is a slight (very slight) coolness factor, but as far as daily usability, this adds none...

I use it for the seconds factor all the time. And to show off to unjailbroken iDevices. I love to see their eye bug out.

Why not? It's the little details and touches that make using Apple products so fantastic.

Some of us don't have the digital clock displayed so for them and me this is good.
