Livescribe smart pens

Hello,

I am looking at getting a livescrive smart pen as I am hoping that it will help with my note taking etc.

I am research student and spend lots of time interviewing people and writing notes.

Does anyone have any opinions on this pen? Are there any alternatives? How long do the refil cartridges last..is it value for money?
