LiveType help

right,i have a cd full of .afd files given to me by a friend for livetype
they're supposed to be textures but i can't add them to livetype
what is this .afd file type?
i've copied them to the library->application support->livetype folder
but nothing happens

any ideas?

try:

/Library/Application Support/LiveType/LiveType Data

though LiveType uses .afd and .afp and .mp4

if you are trying to copy the animated glyphs and textures from one computer to the other, I dont think this is the way to do it.

they do have a livetype icon but when i double click them nothing happens
do i have to rename the folder to something that livetype will recognize or something?
