Livetype titles are crashing FCP 4.5

When I create a simple title in Livetype, nothing fancy or animated, and save it for use in FCP, when I try to import it to the FCP project window the FCP program just closes and I get an error message about it quitting unexpectedly.
I am using FCP 4.5 and OSX 10.4.10
Can anyone please advise me on what may be wrong? It happens on any of the 12 computers that we have in our classroom, not just one machine.
Thanks a lot for any advice.
