On the My Home screen of the Home app I notice there is a icon labeled Living Room Smart Bridge 2. What is this and why is it there?

Go into settings. It should show the manufacturer of the device. That might help you. Perhaps someone renamed it to something unfamiliar. Here’s an example of my Hue Bridge settings screen:
