Is it possible to load quicktime-playable video files such as .avi, .mp4 etc. into iTunes, for transfer to an iPhone?

If so, how do I do it?

Thanks.

.mp4 yes, .avi no. Make sure the movie files have been properly formatted to work for you iPhone. For my iPod, I just used Handbrake. To add them to iTunes, just simply do the same thing you do to add music to your library.

I converted some .wmv and .avi files into .mp4s yesterday, and that worked fine. Would you also recommend loading into handbrake to process them properly for the iPhone?
