Have a friend in Taiwan coming to the states shortly. Was thinking of asking him to bring me back a local sim card to try out the "unlocked" sim slot in my phone. Would a "local" sim card for Taiwan work in the US? Isn't a local sim card just that "local" in that country. Don't want to waste money for a card that wouldn't work even if the sim slot was unlocked.
