My friend gave its iPad Pro iOS 16.x for assistant to clean contacts app infact He wants to keep only Gmail contacts by synchronisation of Google Account which is already active. Target is to have empty the iCloud contacts because Gmail will be the only contacts source.
I found out that It was enabled another contacts synchronisation for the 2nd account "XXX@YY.com" so I disabled this contacts synchronisation.
Now there are remaining some contacts stored locally on the device and I want to export them to see if there is difference with Gmail Contacts because I'k like to remove local contacts.
  1. How can export (into one shot) all local contacts stored into iPad to file ?
  2. How can I select into one shot all local contacts stored into iPad?

Unfortunately, I have several (4) lists - for some reason.

I went as far as "Export;" however, the only choice I see is to export them to a "file."

Is there a way to export directly to another list and subsequently clean-up duplicates?

If not, once they are exported to a "file," how can they be imported into the list I want to retain?

There is no way to move contacts from one account to another within iPadOS. A Mac can do it.

The export file contains every contact as a VCard 3.0-entry. It’s an ASCII text file. You can easily combine, edit them in the editor of your preference, or import them - more or less easily 🤓 - into the main adress book/contacts app/program of most platforms, e.g. on macOS.
