I have a local NAS that has an SMB share. My MBP (M1Pro) is connected via gigabit ethernet, as is the NAS, but every couple minutes, it causes finder to hang for a solid 1-2 minutes, and streaming video cuts out intermittently. My windows PC doesn't have either of these issues with the same number of (wired) hops.

This wasn't an issue before Sequoia, so guessing just a bug with the beta, but wanted to see if anyone else experienced this and had a solution?

I have fought and won against (and lost a few) NAS file system vs the Finder wars. Most often the strange behavior is due to the invisible files the Finder writes like DS_Store. I use this app to exterminate them. Ends up being about annually that some strange issue crops up, I beat my head against the wall, then remember this usually fixes it. I run it and ta da. 9/10. Read up on exactly what it does so you're sure its good for your use case.

I noticed today that ssh connections to a digital ocean VPS drop out frequently - so it look like I'm having some odd network symptoms - and it doesn't seem to help or hurt to be on a VPN or different network, wired or wireless.

When next beta comes out for 15.1 I think I'll do a clean install.

Edit: Decided to do a fresh install of 15.0 b8, and all issues are gone.
