Update: Never mind. After trying again in about 12h it worked just find. I'm guessing it was some sort of iCloud connection problem or bug that fixed itself eventually.

At the moment I use a local user account and password to log in to my computer. I would like to change the password and convert the local user to my iCloud account and password. This should be possible to do in System Settings -> Users & Groups.

The problem is my iCloud password won’t be accepted. No matter how many times I try it says “The password is incorrect.” (See screenshot).

I know it's the correct password, because I can log in with it in System Settings -> iCloud, the Mac App Store and iTunes without any problems.

I have no idea why I keep getting “incorrect password”.

I’m on 10.11.1. I do have FileVault enabled. I also use two-step verification with my iCloud password. Is it possible that FileVault or two-step verification prevents the local user account to be converted/assigned to my iCloud account and password?
