Localize

Hello all,

I am relatively new to Mac programming and I was wondering about the proper way to do localization. I understand that once your interface is done, you can make it localizable and translate any text elements in Interface Builder, but I noticed that a copy of the nib file is made in that case.

Suppose I have finished version 1.0 of my app and localized it, then start work on version 2.0. I make changes/additions to the interface, but do I then have to make those same changes to all the (localized) copies of the nib (and unavoidably forget some subtleties in the process), or can I somehow "merge" the nib files so I only have to look for untranslated strings in the localized copies? If so, how? Any pointers appreciated.
