I am trying to use Siri to create reminders based on arriving at a location but it doesn't work - Siri doesn't seem to know where the contact is located.
This is how I am doing it.

At the location, I open G maps and ensure the arrow is at my current location.
I tap the arrow and click add to contacts
I give it a the name such as 'My Offfice'.
It shows a small map icon in the contacts app.

But it doesn't work.
I have read somewhere that you have to use iCloud for syncing cal/contacts but I am using Gmail.
Is this the problem ?
'When I leave here' works fine , albeit a bit delayed.

I think it might be because the way you call the contact "my" something. Siri knows who you are so when you say my it goes and looks at your contact and looks for a label within your contact named office. Try adding the address to your contact and calling it work. I think saying my work should work then. Or just call it something else without the my.
