Location not being accessed by apps/websites since upgrading to Big Sur

I use apps like WeatherBug and AQI to show local temp and AQ data in my menubar and since upgrading to Big Sur (I think), they are not able to access my location. I do have location enabled for both apps in privacy settings. Even the Apple Weather widget doesn't access my location when I select 'My Location' it shows 'Placeholder' as the location. Another example are shopping and airline websites, where I allow access to location but the sites don't seem to have access to location info (closest stores, airports aren't selected). All of this was working fine before the upgrade. Anyone else with these issues and/or suggested fix?
