My hard drive is scraping the bottom of it's own barrel in terms of disk space and I'm looking for stuff to clear out that I don't actually use.

About 2 years ago, .mac gave it's users promotional Garage Band Jam Packs to download. Needless to say, I had disk space to burn back then so installed them. Since I don't always use Garage Band, not to mention the loops, I want to take out those loops I installed. My question for you all is where is the location of the folder that contains these loops? I want my hard drive back!

I can't remember exactly...I'm at work on a Windows machine:(.

You should be able to do a spotlight search for "apple loops" and locate the folder. I've seen it before--not too hard to find. Good luck.

/Library/Application Support/GarageBand is ~ 2.0GB on mine

you may also want to check

/Users/username/Library/Application Support/GarageBand

FYI if you are wanting to see how you HD space is taken up you can use DiskInventoryX or WhatSize
