I hate to beat a dead horse, but I want to know once and for all if anyone out there has investigated or found out what the mechanism is behind the mini icons shown in the ios 4 folders. I have no background in computer programming so perhaps maybe somebody who does has the knowledge or kno how on how to achieve this. Do you think it's as simple as a .png file or is it embedded in some code?

I'm sure the folder code just reads the icons for the apps contained within it and sizes them down. it wouldn't make sense to have a separate set of icons.

I think you are correct because whenever I winterboard my icons, the mini icons are also winterboarded. I just would love to know how and where in iFile the mini icons are placed in the folders like that. I don't really know how the iphone works but perhaps it's found in the iphone's firmware?
