General question.

I read many post about location services draining battery but if I have wifi off do I still need to turn location services off?

Now this if for a iPod touch not a iPhone so it dosent use cell towers at all to locate itself so I think that it does not drain your battery.

And from personal i think use of this feature only blocks programs from using your location when off and just prompts you to turn on if the feature is needed.

"bumping" is against forum rules.

Location services depends on wi-fi locations being known to a service. You need wi-fi on to use the service. It will show your location if it knows the location of the wi-fi hotspot you are connected to.

There are other threads in the forum about location services on wi-fi, you can search via mroogle.
