Anyone else seeing the location services icon always on, and always on their iphone since downloading watch OS6?

I have noticed the same thing and thought that it was just me. Hopefully someone else can provide an answer. Wondering if this hurts battery life.....

Just removed weather from my watch face and location icon disappeared. May that's why we have such a bad battery life.

from my experience, having the location services icon on all the time has no affect on battery life.

...yea, I'm also getting the same exact issue?!

Since iOS 13, I am constantly seeing this icon in the status bar:

Its ALWAYS there and has only been ALWAYS there since iO13 (and I'm actually using iOS 13.1.1).

I checked in the Location services under Privacy, and figured out it was the native Weather app causing this :

When I turn this off, and I check the weather app on my Apple Watch, I get a notification asking me if I want to allow the Weather app to use my Location. Even when selecting the 'Whilst Using app' option, the icon seems to stay in the status bar of the phone?!

This never happened before - is this a bug in iOS13?

Dont worry. Its not eating battery. The weather app doesnt use GPS to get your location. Not all the time anyway. GPS is what sucks the battery and it often uses one of its many other location sensors to get your location as it doesnt need it to be exact.

Also, your phone is constantly gaterhing your location and all weather does is use the existing data, its not requesting new location data.
