What does the Status Bar Icon do? Whether I leave it on or off, the Location Services icon shows up in my status bar no matter what (like if I access Google Maps). So is it for something else?

Any standard app using your location will show the icon but system services like setting time zone etc don't by default.

Nothing I was just wondering what this setting did since I was going through each option in my settings. Thanks for your explanation. I get it now.
