I'm not sure what could possibly be causing this, but I have the purple location arrow permanently on my status bar and have force closed every application that may be trying to find my location.

I have BiteSMS
Lockinfo
Notified Pro and some other random tweaks...

Any suggestions?

Thanx

Go to settings>location services. It will show every app with an arrow. Turn off one at a time until the arrow goes away. Then go into that app and look through the settings to disable background following or whatever.

Thanks ml,

It was my loopt ap, which I haven't really access in a year or so. I just went into it and started messing around. finally when I quit, the location arrow went away.

I thought, however, that if I force closed every ap it would stop all of its location apis etc... guess not..

thanks!

Some times it does and some times it doesn't. Have had the problem in the past. Glad it worked!
