"Lock" a window where it is (Safari etc.)

Hi

Is there anyway of "locking" a window where it is? I often accidentally drag the window of Safari (for example) out from where it was before then have to move it back!

Or similarly, is there are way of maximising and locking the window similar to what you can do on Windows?
