Lock and volume buttons loose?

My lock and volume button don't seem very secure. Is it supposed to be loose in its socket, or is my iPad defective? By loose I mean I can move the button back and forth two directions in the socket.

May want to get that checked out, mine aren't loose. I mean the lock button can move, but it is still solidly in there.
