I leave my iMac in a shared workspace. I'd like to lock it up physically for when I'm not there. I'm debating between a Kensington lock that hooks into the back of the chassis or just using a heavy duty bike lock through the circle in the iMac base/stand. Problem with Kensington locks is that they are all very thin. I had a bike locked up with a similar lock once and the lock got clipped. Problem with the heavy-duty bike lock through the base is that I'm unsure how securely the base is attached. Could the base be easily ripped off from the main part of the computer? It's a new 2012 iMac.
